Ingredients for Making Zucchini with Cheese

  1. Zucchini (small) 4 pieces
  2. Parmesan (grated) 1/2 cup
  3. Dried thyme 1/2 teaspoon
  4. Dried oregano 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Lemon (zest) 1 piece
  6. Garlic 3 cloves
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Ground black pepper to taste
  9. Olive oil 2 tablespoons

Kitchen knife, cutting board, baking tray, plate, fork, brush, grater, parchment for baking.


Step 1: Prepare Zucchini

Rinse zucchini, dry and cut lengthwise into 4-6 parts. Since the vegetables are young, peeling them is optional.

Step 2: mix the oil with spices.

Mix vegetable oil with dried herbs.

Add chopped garlic cloves to the butter with herbs (grate them or pass through a press) and grated lemon zest. Mix well, then add the salt and ground black pepper here for flavor.

Step 3: bake zucchini with cheese.

Preheat the oven to 170-180 degrees.
Spread the baking paper on a baking sheet and place the zucchini slices on top. Lay them out so that they do not touch each other.

Using a brush, grease each slice of the vegetable with olive oil with lemon zest and spices. Sprinkle grated (finely grained) parmesan on top of zucchini.
Send all this beauty to the oven on 11-13 minutes. Bake until the cheese turns golden.

Step 4: Serve the zucchini with cheese.

Zucchini with cheese can be served warm or after complete cooling. Additionally I can advise sour cream, or garlic sauce, for example. Real jam! And, most importantly, how simple.

- Parmesan fits here perfectly, but you can, of course, replace it with another hard cheese, but only proven, and not what turns into plastic in the oven.
